(1932 - 2011) Born in Punjab, Qadri is famed for being the only internationally acclaimed artist with deep spiritual beliefs. He was initiated into yogic practice at the age of seven. He received his MFA from the Government College of Art in Shimla. He began travelling around the world in 1965, to Paris, Zurich, East Africa and North America. His works are the result of years of travelling and imbibing his learnings from Tantric Buddhism. He has had over a hundred solo and group exhibitions in India and around the world, including the United States, Canada, Switzerland, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Austria and Poland. The artist passed away in Toronto in 2011.
